Rants
Pulling back the wool
Submitted by Seth on Sun, 09/05/2010 - 6:37pmWe have all been in the position, we have all had that friend. You know the one, the guy who ends up in that relationship. The girl is easy on the eyes and seems relatively cool at first. Then things start to change and your friend's convictions and ideals start shifting. Your gut feel is to confront him and let him know this relationship is killing him, but you don't because it is not worth risking your friendship over. Inevitably you end up drifting apart until virtually no friendship remains. NOTE: I have been informed that the same crisis exists for women in the form of the 'bad boyfriend'.
Lago Gets His Medal Polished
Submitted by John on Fri, 02/19/2010 - 11:12pmWhile out celebrating after his winning Bronze Medal run, someone snapped a picture of a ''lady'' on her knees servicing Mr. Lago's bronze diskette.
Also, in the picture are Mammoth Mountain pipe slayer Greg Bretz and Mr. Mark Sullivan.
Needless to say the I.O.C. was pissed and was seriously thinking of revoking Lago's medal. After apologizing to the U.S. Olympic Committee and U.S. Ski & $nowboard Association, Lago was allowed to keep the Bronze Medal that he had rightly deserved to win and was sent home, thus forgoing the closing ceremonies.
Another Reason We Don't Need Your Stupid-ass Games
Submitted by John on Wed, 02/17/2010 - 2:15pmThe Japanese SKI team almost sent Kazuhiro Kokubo home for not tucking his god damn shirt in... wow.
Kokubo's response was the games were 'nothing special'. Kazu was forced later to publicly apologize so his ass would not be turned into sashimi. He was banned from walking in the opening ceremonies.
A note to the I.O.C.-we don't need you at all. Remember, you need us as your ratings are worthless.

It Just Gets Weaker By the Moment
Submitted by John on Wed, 02/10/2010 - 1:07amLet me start off stating that I love good looking women, especially bikini-clad ones. However, the Olympics bring the worst out in some, and Clair Bidez and Hannah Teter just signed themselves off.
The problem with Shaun White
Submitted by Seth on Sun, 01/31/2010 - 10:34pmLike most in snowboarding, I have never really liked Shaun White. I figured I had reached the summit of my dislike but feared with the upcoming Olympic coverage that it may swell to dangerous levels. When my mother shot me an IM informing me of the 60 minutes piece that showed Shaun's private pipe, I seriously considered mailing it in and moving to Greenland to live as far from the internet and television coverage of the Olympics as possible.
